Once upon a time, in a quiet corner of a forest, a dinosaur named Dino-Tom had been asleep for millions of years. He’d snoozed so long that the world around him had changed completely. Trees grew taller, birds tweeted in songs he’d never heard before, and the air smelled… well, different.
One bright morning, Dino-Tom stretched his enormous legs, yawned a dino-sized yawn, and blinked his big, curious eyes. He had no idea where he was, but he was hungry! “I haven’t eaten anything in a very long time,” he thought, rumbling through the woods in search of food.
As Dino-Tom wandered, he spotted something peculiar: a group of creatures gathered around a warm, crackling fire. They were roasting something over the flames. The delicious smell floated through the air, making Dino-Tom’s stomach growl like a thunderstorm.
“What are you cooking?” Dino-Tom asked, his deep voice booming through the trees.
The creatures, a mix of squirrels, rabbits, and a very confused beaver, looked up. “We’re making s’mores!” said a chipper squirrel named Hazel. “Want one?”
Dino-Tom wasn’t sure what a “s’more” was, but his nose told him it smelled like pure magic. Hazel handed him a big, gooey treat—golden-brown marshmallows, perfectly melted chocolate, and crunchy graham crackers all stuck together.
Dino-Tom took a giant bite, and then… a wide, toothy grin spread across his face. His tiny arms waved in excitement. “What is this?” he bellowed. “This… this is amazing! It’s the best thing I’ve ever eaten!”
“I told you!” Hazel laughed. “S’mores are the best!”
Dino-Tom took another bite, savoring the chocolatey, marshmallowy goodness. He looked around at his new friends, his tail wagging. “I may have missed a few things during my nap, but this… this is worth waking up for!”
And from that day forward, Dino-Tom became the happiest dino in the forest. Every time the fire was lit, he’d gather his friends, and they’d make s’mores together under the stars.
Moral of the story: Sometimes, the best things in life are a little sweet, a little crunchy, and waiting for you just when you need them most.
