Once upon a time, in a peaceful valley, there lived a giant dinosaur named Gus. Gus was huge, green, and wore a cozy red sweater. He loved lounging in the sun and helping others, but the children in the nearby town were afraid of him. Every time they saw Gus, they would run and hide behind trees or in their houses.
One sunny day, Gus decided to change that. He picked a basket of fresh strawberries from the hill and walked gently toward the playground to share them. But when the children saw him, they froze. His giant feet stomped, and his tail swished behind him. They scrambled to hide, whispering, “What if he steps on us?”
Gus felt sad but didn’t give up. The next day, he came back, but this time, he sat quietly on a hill in the distance. He didn’t make a sound and just watched the children play.
Little by little, the children noticed Gus wasn’t scary. He was just sitting there, looking friendly. One day, Lily, the bravest of the group, walked up to him and asked, “Are you really friendly?”
Gus smiled and nodded. “I just want to be a good neighbor,” he said. Slowly, the other children joined Lily. They realized Gus wasn’t scary at all—he was kind and fun! They visited him every day, bringing toys, snacks, and even their pets.
Gus showed them that even the biggest creatures could be kind. And every night, as he sat on his hill, Gus smiled, knowing the children weren’t afraid anymore.
Moral: Don’t judge someone by their appearance. Even the biggest or scariest-looking creatures can be kind and friendly if you take the time to understand them.
